For the brave at heart or for duos short on time, the Shot Gun: Get it Done package wraps it all up and not only assists with the proposal but has the wedding plan in place so the ceremony can immediately follow. The Proposal Coordinator can also provide an array of options whether it’s fireworks or a message in the clouds; the sky’s the limit!

The Castle Inn Riverside, Kansas

Originally a private home, Castle Inn Riverside was built in 1888, based on architectural drawings from a Scottish castle. The block-long property has been under the loving care of Dr. Terry and Paul Lowry since 1994, which turned it into a 14-room inn. Intimate weddings can be hosted in the Grand Foyer, on the imported antique English staircase or in the gardens overlooking the river. Chef works with couples to create custom seated meals or buffet menus, while the rest of the staff helps coordinate outside vendors. Favorite bridal suites include Royal Court, with its two people Jacuzzi (facility fees start at $3,500, exclusive booking of the inn is required Castle Inn riverside.

Kansas requires that couples 18 and over who want to marry must present themselves, their birth certificates and divorce decrees or death certificate. If applicable, Kansas has a three-day waiting period. All require fees of $50 to $60 for the marriage license, payable in cash or money order; no blood tests or medical papers are necessary. Licenses issued in Washington are valid for 60 days; those in Kansas may be used up to six months after issuance.

Gran Caribe Real Cancun opens Roman Catholic chapel

Real Resorts has opened Cancun's only consecrated Roman Catholic resort chapel on the grounds of the 477-suite Gran Caribe Real Cancun.

The chapel is available for weddings, First Communions and other religious services and is the latest in the all-inclusive chain's growing list of romance-themed facilities and services, which also includes beachfront weddings and vow renewals, private Lear jet transportation to add from the U.S. and Canada, limousine transfers, nine nuptials packages, honeymoon deals and a la carte wedding arrangements.

The all-glass, beachfront Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Chapel was dedicated in April. There's no other resort in Cancun with a Catholic chapel consecrated by the local bishop. It's also unique in that the hotel can offer marriages on Sundays, when priests usually are not available.

The chapel is available to couples staying at the family-oriented Gran Caribe Real Cancun and the adjacent, adults-only the Royal Cancun. Real Resorts also offers Jewish, Protestant, civil and with its Mayan Experience wedding package shamanistic ceremonies at its five all-inclusive properties in Cancun and Playa del Carmen.
